Responsibilities

DeFi & Staking Research and Strategy Development

• Deep analysis of DeFi protocols, staking mechanisms, liquid staking derivatives (LSTs), restaking, and yield sources across selected chains.
• Evaluating risk/return drivers such as slashing risk, smart contract risk, validator concentration, liquidity risk, and incentive sustainability.
• Building and maintaining financial models to compare native staking vs. DeFi-enhanced yields (e.g., staking + lending + looping).
• Translating protocol mechanics into actionable trading and ALM strategies for treasury deployment. Stay current with ecosystem developments, emerging tools, protocol upgrades, and new economic primitives to proactively recommend strategic shifts or new opportunities.

Ecosystem Ownership, Project Leadership & Execution

• Serve as the internal owner for initiatives within one or more blockchain ecosystems—leading the evaluation, integration, and rollout of new staking providers, validator relationships, and protocol deployments.
• Track, prioritize, and manage all ecosystem-related sub-projects using structured processes, clear timelines, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, trading, risk, legal, and operations teams.
• Establish and monitor KPIs around yield performance, capital efficiency, operational risk, and ecosystem-specific strategic outcomes.
• Evaluate new tools, methodologies, and technical innovations to improve research quality, integration efficiency, or operational robustness.

Cross-Functional & Ecosystem Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact with protocol teams, foundations, validators, liquidity venues, and infrastructure partners—capturing insights and converting them into internal strategy implications.
• Coordinate seamless information flow from external counterparties to internal teams, ensuring alignment across research, engineering, product, BD, risk, and operations.
• Quickly address stakeholder questions or concerns, maintaining clarity, trust, and consistency throughout research, integration, and execution cycles.
• Support BD, product, and investment committees with data-driven assessments, technical explanations, strategy briefs, and post-mortems.

Reporting, Documentation & Governance

• Produce clear research notes, risk assessments, strategy recommendations, decision logs, and post-mortems for internal governance and investment review.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project timelines, integration steps, domain insights, action items, and milestones to ensure continuity, auditability, and effective cross-team coordination.
• Consolidate market intelligence, protocol developments, and ecosystem insights into periodic reports to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong project planning, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong passion for the markets including the ability to have intelligent conversations on current market trends.
• Prior experience or coursework in business, finance, engineering, project management, or related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Coding experience in Python in the context of statistical and data analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Dune, Arkham and market data providers is a plus.
• 2-3 years working in Defi and staking protocols.
• Experienced in Python coding for data collection, data compilation and analysis.
• Organised with strong communication skills.
