Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to lead solution design, translate complex client challenges into AI prototypes, and ensure production scalability. The ideal candidate should have a background in data science or engineering, with hands-on experience in AI technologies and strong stakeholder engagement skills. A minimum of 5 years experience in related fields is required.

Location: Central

Starts with a 1 year contract, subject to renewal/conversion

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML Solution Design – Architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions from problem framing to production, ensuring business alignment and measurable ROI.
• Client Engagement – Translate complex client pain points into solvable AI problems, present clear value propositions, and build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prototype Development – Rapidly build functional AI/ML prototypes and POCs using Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and LangChain, designed for production scalability.
• Data Readiness & Governance – Assess data maturity, identify gaps, and recommend governance frameworks, ensuring robust, high-quality, AI-ready data pipelines.
• Cutting-Edge AI Research – Continuously evaluate advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, Deep Learning, and MLOps, synthesizing insights to influence strategic direction and industry thought leadership.
• Collaboration & Integration – Work closely with AI production teams to ensure seamless documentation, handover, and lifecycle integration of AI solutions.
• Qualifications & Expertise – Bachelor’s/Master’s in a quantitative field, 5+ years in AI/ML engineering or data science, hands-on experience with GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery), Docker/Kubernetes, MLOps tools, and a strong background in distributed computing; maritime/logistics industry knowledge is an advantage.
