Role Purpose
To design, extend, and maintain digital products using AI-driven development tools, working directly on existing GitHub repositories without relying on large engineering teams. The role blends product strategy, technical implementation, and AI orchestration to deliver rapid, cost-efficient, and high-quality iterations.
Core Responsibilities
1. AI-Driven Development
- Use agentic coding systems (e.g., GPT-o1, Devin, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Artifacts) to read, interpret, and modify existing front- and back-end codebases.
- Generate and deploy new UI components, APIs, and data integrations through autonomous coding workflows.
- Guide AI agents with precise prompts and context to ensure output adheres to architecture, coding style, and business logic.
2. Product Enhancement & Feature Shipping
- Translate product briefs and user feedback into technical requirements.
- Implement new features or refine existing modules directly in the repository.
- Conduct automated testing, debugging, and documentation generation through AI tools.
- Coordinate minor design or UX updates via generative design integrations (e.g., Figma AI, Framer AI).
3. System Understanding & Integration
- Maintain an architectural understanding of the full stack — from database to UI layer.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and analytics tools via AI-assisted coding.
- Automate deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD frameworks.
4. AI Workflow Management
- Continuously refine agentic workflows for faster feature development and lower error rates.
- Evaluate new AI coding tools and models to optimize productivity.
- Document repeatable workflows for scaling across the product team.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product owners, designers, and non-technical stakeholders to define priorities and validate output.
- Present weekly progress updates: features completed, tickets resolved, automation gains achieved.
- Support cost tracking of AI usage vs. manual development costs.
Skill Requirements
- Technical Foundations: Understanding of front-end (React, Next.js, or Vue) and back-end (Node.js, Django, or Laravel) basics. Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, REST APIs, JSON, Docker, and SQL/NoSQL.
- AI/Agentic Tools: Experience with agentic code systems (e.g., Devin, GPT-o1, Copilot Workspace, Claude Artifacts). Ability to prompt and guide models effectively.
- Product Mindset: Strong ability to translate business goals into product iterations. Understanding of user journeys, UX flow, and metrics.
- Analytical: Comfort with debugging AI-generated code, identifying logic gaps, and writing validation scripts.
- Communication: Able to explain technical decisions in product terms to non-technical stakeholders.
Tool Stack
- Agentic Coding: GPT-o1, Claude 3.5 Artifacts, GitHub Copilot Workspace, Cursor IDE
- Version Control: GitHub, GitLab
- Deployment / CI-CD: GitHub Actions, Vercel, Netlify, Docker
- UI / UX: Figma, Framer AI, Midjourney (for concept visualization)
- Testing / QA: Playwright, Jest, Postman AI
- Documentation: Notion AI, Docusaurus, or auto-generated markdowns via agents
