Job summary

A leading food processing company in Singapore seeks a dedicated individual to assist in accounting and administrative functions, including inventory management and customs documentation. The role involves preparing supplier payments and coordinating raw material orders from Japan. Overtime may be required based on business needs. This position operates on a five and a half day work week, with a focus on operational efficiency and adherence to regulations.

Job description
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist in all aspects of accounting and administrative functions, including providing similar services to the Company’s associate companies, with due care, diligence, and efficiency.

  2. Assist and support superiors and management in the discharge of their duties to the best of your knowledge, skill, and ability.

  3. Prepare, process, and maintain customs-related documentation, including production applications and inventory monitoring records, in compliance with applicable regulations.

  4. Perform daily inventory record maintenance and accounts payable (AP) data entry accurately and in a timely manner.

  5. Carry out any other duties related to the Company’s business as may be assigned from time to time.

  6. Plan, coordinate, and place orders for raw materials from Japan in accordance with the Company’s operational and procurement requirements.

  7. Prepare, verify, and process monthly supplier payments accurately and within the required timelines.
    Working Hours

    • The normal working schedule shall be five and a half (5.5) days per week, in accordance with the Company’s operating hours.

    • The Company reserves the right to revise working hours based on operational requirements, subject to applicable labour laws.

    Overtime
    • The employee may be required to work overtime as and when necessary to meet operational and business needs.

    • Overtime work shall be compensated in accordance with the Company’s policy and applicable labour laws.
