A leading preschool education provider in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Preschool Educator to nurture and educate children aged 18 months to 6 years. The role involves planning and implementing lessons, creating enriching learning environments, and fostering relationships with families for consistent learning experiences. The ideal candidate must hold the relevant diploma and be certified as an L2 teacher by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), with proficiency in English and good IT skills.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education or equivalent required.
  • Certified as an L2 teacher by ECDA.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • IT savvy is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement lessons based on the Starbeam Framework.
  • Create high-quality learning environments with age-appropriate materials.
  • Nurture trusting and respectful relationships with children.
  • Customize classroom management strategies for individual needs.
  • Document and assess children's learning for future planning.
  • Collaborate with families for consistency in care and learning.
  • Cultivate partnerships with families and the wider community.

Job description

As a Preschool Educator, you will play an essential role in nurturing and educating children aged 18 months to 6 years old. You will deliver a curriculum that focuses on language and literacy, numeracy, aesthetics, creative expression, discovery of the world, and social-emotional development. Additionally, you will ensure a safe and clean environment for our young heroes' growth and development.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality learning environments that include age-appropriate learning materials and resources
  • Nurture trusting and respectful relationships with children
  • Customise classroom management strategies to meet the needs of individual children
  • Document and assess children's learning and development to inform future planning and teaching
  • Work collaboratively with families to promote consistency in care and learning between the Centre and home
  • Cultivate and enhance partnerships with families and the wider community
Requirements
