Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive to support our finance operations during a maternity cover period. The ideal candidate has around 3 years of experience in wholesale trading and can handle daily accounting tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Daily Accounting Operations
   • Manage full sets of accounts independently.
   • Handle invoices, receipts, payments, credit notes, and journal entries.
   • Reconcile supplier statements, customer accounts, and bank records.
2. 2. Sales and Purchase Cycle Management
   • Work closely with sales and procurement to ensure accurate recording of orders, goods received, and sales deliveries.
   • Verify pricing, margins, and stock movement to avoid reporting errors.
3. 3. Inventory and Costing Support
   • Coordinate with warehouse teams to reconcile stock records.
   • Support costing, stock valuation, and cycle count reviews.
   • Flag unusual variances in stock or margins.
4. 4. Month End Closing
   • Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and month end reports.
   • Ensure proper cut off for sales, purchases, and inventory.
   • Assist auditors with required documentation.
5. 5. Management Reporting
   • Prepare monthly P&L summaries, cash flow updates, and margin reports.
   • Highlight issues such as slow moving stock, rising costs, or cash flow concerns.
6. 6. Compliance and Internal Controls
   • Maintain accurate filing and documentation for audits and tax matters.
   • Support GST and tax submissions.
7. 7. Cross Department Coordination
   • Liaise with sales, warehouse, and logistics to ensure smooth data flow.
   • Provide timely financial updates to management.
