Overview

As an Accounts Executive, your role will involve reconciling sales from retail and online marketplace platforms, optimizing cash flow, fostering strong customer relationships, and streamlining processes to improve the organization’s overall financial performance.

Responsibilities
  • Support the accounts payable and/or accounts receivable processes
  • Generate and issue customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, following up on overdue accounts and coordinating collection efforts
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate smooth payment processes and resolve any inquiries
  • Review and perform sales reconciliation & analysis for various sales channels
  • Prepare and maintain records of accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable balances
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable performance
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts payable and receivable functions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the implementation of best practices and automation tools to streamline operations
  • Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable performance, aging analysis, and collection efforts to senior management
  • Utilize financial software and tools to automate processes and improve data accuracy
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • Possess minimum Diploma in Accountancy
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in accounting in the retail industry
  • Good knowledge and understanding of tax legislation
  • Good knowledge of Malaysia Reporting Standards, Companies Act and other accounting regulatory requirements is highly essential
  • Knowledge and experience with internal control documentation
  • Well versed in MS Excel and spreadsheet techniques with exceptional numerical proficiency and experienced in financial modelling
  • Possess a positive attitude, good leadership skills, interpersonal communication skills, independent and a team player
