Job summary

A financial services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting assistant to manage daily data entry, process invoices, and prepare GST and tax documents. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Diploma in Accounting and 2 years of experience with MYOB software, along with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. This role involves supporting month-end closings and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Nitec / Diploma in Accounting, LCCI or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience in MYOB accounting software is required.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily data entry of sales, purchases, receipts and payments into MYOB accounting system.
  • Process vendor invoices, staff claims and customer billings, ensuring proper supporting documents and accurate coding.
  • Prepare and update bank transactions, including bank reconciliation and monitoring of cash balances.
  • Assist in preparation of GST workings, reconciliations and quarterly GST returns.
  • Support preparation of audit schedules, liaise with external auditors and assist in providing supporting documents.
  • Assist in corporate income tax schedules, basic tax computations and collation of information for tax agents.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing, including journals, accruals, prepayments and ledger reconciliations.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform any other ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum Nitec / Diploma in Accounting, LCCI or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience in MYOB accounting software is required.
  • Basic knowledge of GST, audit and Singapore tax requirements will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with data entry work.
  • Meticulous, organised, able to meet reporting deadlines and work independently in a small team.
