Job description

The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The full spectrum of Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable.
  • Issue invoices, credit notes, and ensure timely billing.
  • Follow up on outstanding customer payments and manage overdue accounts.
  • Verify and process supplier invoices and petty cash claims.
  • Prepare payments through various modes (e.g., bank transfers, cheques, online platforms).
  • Prepare and update monthly payment schedules.
  • Maintain accurate daily cash book and bank book records.
  • Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Attend to incoming calls and inquiries from customers and suppliers.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisors or the Head of Department (HOD).
Qualification
  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Available to start immediately or on short notice.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Positive mindset and attitude with a strong eagerness to learn.
