A private member club in Singapore is seeking a Finance / Accounting Manager to oversee all financial functions and lead the finance team. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA, with 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the hospitality sector. Job description
Roles & Responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Manager
  • Oversee the Club’s entire financial functions and report directly to the General Manager.

  • Handle the full spectrum of day-to-day financial and cost accounting roles, e.g., AR, AP, GL, Forecasting, and Budgeting.

  • Develop and direct the company's overall financial strategy, plans, and accounting practices and policies.

  • Oversee purchasing functions to ensure their operating effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, and monitor their execution.

  • Responsible for liaising with the Management, internal and external auditors on finance and tax-related matters.

  • Direct and control all financial and accounting systems to ensure timely and reliable financial services and information flow.

  • Deliver insights from sales reporting/P&L to influence plans and strategies.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide insightful financial reports and recommendations to management.

  • Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early cost-overrun warnings.

  • Work collaboratively with the relevant departments on cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Able to demonstrate experience in both management expertise and leadership capability

  • Provide leadership to the finance team and strive to be industry-leading in accuracy, quality, timeliness, execution, and delivery.

  • Developing and monitoring KPI’s for the finance team.

  • Perform such other duties and responsibilities that the Management may assign from time to time.

Job Requirements
  • Possess a Degree in Accountancy/ ACCA

  • Min 5 to 10 years of accounting/ finance working experience, preferably with prior Hospitality / Private Member Club experience.

  • Must have experience leading a team of accounts staff.

  • Knowledge of Club 2000 will be an added advantage.

  • Meticulous with a good and positive attitude

  • Strong knowledge of local tax and regulatory requirements, with a strong sense of business acumen

  • Hands-on, proactive, organized, and able to work independently under tight deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
