Job summary

A leading project accounting firm in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented professional to develop and maintain project accounting systems. The ideal candidate will manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes while supporting the Corporate Customer Relationship team. Fluency in Mandarin and English is preferred, as the role involves developing corporate customers in China and South East Asia. The candidate should be flexible, self-motivated, and experienced in external audits with a Big 4 firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in project accounting systems and reporting in accordance with Singapore Accounting Standards.
• Ability to clear technical matters in collaboration with Corporate Accounting.
• Proven track record of managing month and quarter-end close processes.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project accounting systems to ensure accurate cost accounting and reporting in line with Singapore Accounting Standard and internal policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the Corporate Accounting department to clear technical matters, report quarterly accounting updates, prepare representation letters.
• Oversee the general accounting team by owning and managing the month and quarter-end close process for our Retail, Wholesale and Ecommerce business for each country in which we operate.
• Support Corporate Customer Relationship team.
• Develop Corporate Customers in China / South East Asia region. Travelling is required. Mandarin / English is preferred.
• Experience operating in an international environment preferred.
• Is flexible and shows adaptability.
• An independent self-starter with the ability to get things done.
• This includes at least 3 busy seasons in external audit with a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
• Strong computer desktop skills required.
• Ability to learn quickly, make an immediate impact, and provide value-added service.
