A leading reinsurance group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Finance Accounting and Reporting team. The role involves managing invoices, ensuring timely payments, preparing journal entries, and performing monthly closing procedures. A minimum degree in Accountancy and proficiency in MS Office are required. The ideal candidate should excel in a collaborative environment while demonstrating effective communication skills. This position offers a work-life balance with 4 days onsite and 1-day work from home.

We are now seeking to fill the following position in our Singapore team.
Accountant
Responsibilities:
As the Accountant within the Finance Accounting and Reporting team, your job scope includes the following:
• Upload external vendors’ invoices to expense system and ensure payment process is initiated on an accurate and timely basis.
• Ensure staff reimbursements raised in expense system adhere to the Branch’s expense policy and proper supporting documents are provided.
• Prepare and process payments for the invoices and staff reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly accounting journal entries including accruals and prepayments. Ensure journal entries posted are accurate and well-supported with proper documentation.
• Perform month-end closing procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist to prepare business performance reports and ability to extract financial data for Finance and other business functions when assigned.
• Support budget and forecast activities when needed.
• Compliance with accounting standards, accounting control procedures and statutory requirements.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Min. Degree in Accountancy
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines
• Fluent in English
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
