Job summary

A leading building products company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the full accounts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, ACCA certification, and at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction. Responsibilities include generating financial statements, managing cash, and liaising with suppliers and authorities. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including AR, AP, and GL.

Job description

Job scope of Senior Accountant

• Responsible for handling full set of accounts including AR, AP and GL;
• Generate monthly financial statements to management;
• Closing and preparation of yearly financial statements and audit schedules (including work-in-progress schedule);
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns;
• Monitoring and managing accounts receivables collection;
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers on payments and shipment of materials to Singapore;
• Handle company's cash management functions;
• Handle company's banking facilities including trade facilities and project accounts;
• Liaise with banks on submission of letter of credits, trust receipts and renewal of bank facilities and any bank’s requests;
• Handle monthly sales commission and incentives for salesmen;
• Handle company's Government grant matters;
• Liaise with the Authorities (IRAS, BCA, MOM, etc);
• Liaise with external auditor and tax agent on audit and tax matters;
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent, as well as ACCA certification;
• Preferably with experience in the construction industry;
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin, and able to communicate effectively with mandarin speaking stake-holders and China suppliers;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Familiar with Quickbook & MYOB
