Job summary

A local accounting firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions. Responsibilities include monthly closing, reporting, budgeting, and liaising with stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accountancy with 3 to 5 years of experience, possess strong analytical abilities, and be proficient in the SAGE ACCPAC system. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
• Good technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and management reporting requirements.
• Meticulous and able to anticipate issues with proposals for resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of general accounting and finance functions, including monthly closing and reporting, project costing, budgeting and forecast, cash flow management and tax submission.
• Prepare statutory and management reports and provide analytical review of financial performance, highlight key variances and investigate exceptions.
• Improve financial and operational policies, controls and procedures to address business inefficiencies, internal control weaknesses and operational issues identified.
• Undertake any ad-hoc project as and when assigned.
• Liaise with bankers, internal and external auditors, company secretary, tax and legal advisors and regulators.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
• Good technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and management reporting requirements.
• Good analytical thought process and business acumen, able to anticipate issues and offer ideas for resolution.
• Good operating knowledge of SAGE ACCPAC system.
• Meticulous with strong leadership qualities.
• Ability to work under pressure.
