Overview

Our client in the media industry is looking for an Account Executive who focuses on managing accounts payable, financial reporting, and compliance. Responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, preparing month-end schedules, reconciling supplier statements, and supporting audits.

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for Accounts Payable functions such as processing of invoices, payments, T & E Claims, and reconciliations
  2. Liaise with respective departments on payment matters and update the monthly cash flow forecast for operations-related costs
  3. Responsible for preparing month-end closing schedules, which include prepayments and accruals
  4. Perform reconciliation of supplier statements, respond to enquiries, and ensure issues are addressed promptly
  5. Assists in statutory audit requirements and ensures compliance with policies
  6. Prepare and manage the financial and statutory reporting for semi-active &dormant entities (eg, UAE), including government surveys
  7. Preparation of tax-related filings such as Corporate Tax, GST/VAT, and withholding tax
  8. Prepare and assist with the Capital Expenditure/Fixed Asset recording process &reconciliation
  9. Responsible for corporate credit cards reconciliation and posting into the accounting system
  10. Responsible for a full set of accounts for semi-active & dormant entities (eg,UAE)
  11. Assist in other ad-hoc assignments as required
Requirements
  • Must possess a minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant working experience in Finance/Accounting department is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office such as Excel and Word
  • Able to work and adapt to a fast paced & dynamic environment with good time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Meticulous with an eye for details, proactive, keen to learn and possess a positive attitude
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English, orally and in writing
  • Experience in NetSuite accounting software is a plus, but not compulsory
  • Being able to start work on short notice is an added advantage
