Job description
What the role is

The National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE) at Republic Polytechnic is the enterprise-facing arm of the Academy for Continuing Education (ACE@RP). As a strategic partner in Continuing Education and Training (CET), NACE@RP works closely with organisations to identify workforce challenges and co-develop customised, contextualised solutions aligned with business priorities. Through consultancy and training, it supports the setup of structured workplace learning programmes and train-the-trainer systems. This empowers internal champions to sustain critical know-how and competencies, ensuring long-term business growth and continuity. NACE@RP embeds learning into daily operations, fostering a resilient, future-ready workforce.

Reporting to the head of NACE@RP, the appointee will be responsible for the RP's endeavour to implement the national workplace learning framework and provide workplace learning programs for the industry.

What you will be working on
  • Provide consultancy services to enterprises for workplace learning to deepen skills and develop staff with NACE@RP’s suite of products and services
  • Develop workplace learning products and solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry
  • Enhance existing workplace learning training and consultancy solutions to contextualize them to enterprise needs
  • Conduct NACE-related training programmes
  • Carry out business development activities such as market scans and analysis to gather quantitative and qualitative assessments of markets in order to seek and cultivate new leads and qualified business possibilities
  • Execute outreach activities including conferences
  • Contribute to the marketing effort by developing strong marcom strategy and marketing tools, such as press and social media presence
  • Support stakeholder engagement with public and private sectors to foster partnerships and enhance stakeholder relationships
  • Develop internal capabilities to build RP’s staff capabilities in workplace learning
  • Support operations and administrative work such as report preparation, budgeting, contract management, secretariat duties etc.
  • Any other duties, including cross-divisional projects or events, that may be assigned by the leader of NACE@RP
What we are looking for
  • Qualifications in Adult Education, Workforce Development, Human Capital Development or relevant field
  • 10 years working experience with at least 4 years of experience in Business Development, Consultancy, or Project Management, education and training related fields such as professional development, learning and development, or workforce development, and a track record of establishing partnerships to deliver corporate objectives
  • Resilient and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking
  • Open to learning and adapting to evolving work needs, including the use of AI tools for consulting and training
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and a good team player
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance 2.0 (ACLP 2.0) or equivalent, relevant working experience in Institute of Higher Learning and/ or an adult education organisation, mentoring and coaching for On-the-Job Training will be an advantage
