Job summary
A leading oil & gas company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contractual and commercial aspects of major EPC projects. The role involves managing client and vendor agreements, risk reviews, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. Candidates must have over 18 years of experience in contracts management within the oil & gas sector, with preference for those with ARAMCO project experience.
Qualifications
- 18+ years of experience in contracts management within oil & gas sector.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and risk management skills.
- Solid understanding of international contracting practices and legal frameworks.
- Preference for candidates with ARAMCO project experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contracts with clients.
- Manage partnering agreements with potential partners.
- Handle exclusivity arrangements with vendors/subcontractors.
- Lead risk review processes for contractual risks.
- Ensure compliance with commercial procedures.
Skills
We are hiring an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee all contractual, commercial, and legal aspects of major oil & gas EPC projects across both pre-award and post-award phases. This role includes managing client and vendor agreements, risk reviews, claims, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and industry standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in EPC/EPCM environments and a proven track record working on ARAMCO or similar high-value projects.
- Contracts with Clients
- Partnering agreements with potential partners
- Exclusivity/tie-up arrangements with vendors/subcontractors, including, contractual terms and conditions with key potential vendors/subcontractors
- Risk review process including, identification, mitigation and management of contractual risks
- Ensure compliance with commercial procedures and that best practice is established, and promote continuous improvement to protect Company's commercial position
- Ensure that there are adequate commercial resources within the commercial team to meet the needs of the pre award/bidding activities
- Ensure all commercial team members have clear roles, responsibilities, accountability and established authority levels
Required Qualification and Skills
- 18+ years of experience in contracts management within oil & gas sector
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and risk management skills
- Solid understanding of international contracting practices and legal frameworks
- Candidates with ARAMCO project experience will be given preference
