Job summary

Client of Dashco Middle East is seeking a Proposal Engineer to support tendering cost estimation and proposal preparation activities for water and wastewater projects. The role involves reviewing RFQs, preparing techno-commercial proposals and BOQs, and coordinating inputs from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely submissions.

Experience in water treatment, RO systems and related equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Proposal Engineer role.
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of treatment systems, RO, pumps, filters, tanks, vessels and related equipment.
• Experience in tender review, cost estimation, BOQ preparation and quotation development.
• Strong commercial awareness and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and proposal documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tenders and project specifications to understand bid requirements.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, BOQs and cost estimates.
• Develop treatment process solutions based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, fabricators and subcontractors for inputs.
• Prepare technical specifications, submittals, clarifications and control philosophies.
• Support sales and engineering during pre-sales and handover stages.
• Maintain vendor, supplier and proposal databases.
• Ensure accurate, competitive and timely submission of proposals.
• Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants and suppliers.
