Job summary

Soundlines Consultancy is seeking an Airport Operations Coordinator with a solid background in flight coordination and turnaround activities. You will monitor flight timings, communicate operational updates, and coordinate with airline staff, OCC, ramp, cargo, and other departments to ensure on-time departures.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in aviation or ground-handling, excellent English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor flight timings including ATA/ATD and communicate operational information to departments.
• Update aircraft movement and flight-related data in systems and reporting tools.
• Prepare and communicate flight movement messages per airline timelines.
• Coordinate with airline crew, OCC, Load Control, Ramp Operations, Cargo and Passenger Services.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers for fueling, passenger bussing, catering and other ground services.
• Maintain records of flight-related communications and reports for audit purposes.
• Coordinate with flight deck crew and airport authorities regarding operational needs.
• Support aircraft turnaround operations including loading, fueling, servicing, cleaning and boarding.
• Liaise with managers and airline representatives on operational issues.
• Conduct pre-flight operational briefings with ramp and ground-handling teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor flight timings including ATA and ATD and ensure timely communication of operational information to concerned departments.
• Monitor and update aircraft movement and flight-related information in operational systems and reporting tools.
• Prepare and communicate flight movement messages and operational updates as per airline timelines and procedures.
• Coordinate with airline crew, OCC, Load Control, Ramp Operations, Cargo, Passenger Services and other operational departments.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers for fueling, passenger bussing, catering and other required ground services.
• Maintain accurate records of flight-related communications, operational documents and reports for audit and operational purposes.
• Coordinate with flight deck crew and relevant airport authorities regarding operational requirements.
• Support aircraft turnaround operations and coordinate activities including loading, fueling, aircraft servicing, cleaning, catering and boarding.
• Liaise with the Manager on Duty, Ramp Duty Officer and airline representatives regarding operational issues and requirements.
• Conduct and coordinate pre-flight operational briefings with relevant ramp and ground-handling teams.
• Monitor turnaround activities to ensure compliance with operational, safety and security procedures.
• Ensure punctual aircraft departures and contribute to On-Time Performance (OTP).
• Coordinate and manage operational disruptions during aircraft turnaround in consultation with the concerned manager and airline representative.
• Ensure baggage reconciliation procedures and required flight documentation are completed before departure.
• Maintain and hand over required aircraft documentation including flight plans, load sheets and other operational documents.
• Report aircraft, ULD or ramp-related damages and operational deviations to the concerned manager.
• Follow airline, airport authority and company SOPs, safety, security and operational procedures.
• Perform additional operational duties assigned by the OCC/Operations Manager or supervisor.

Preferred candidate profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the airline, aviation, airport or ground-handling industry.
• Candidates with experience in Airport Operations, OCC, Operations Control, Flight Coordination or Ground Operations will be preferred.
• Good understanding of flight operations and aircraft turnaround activities.
• Experience coordinating with airline crew, ramp operations and other airport operational departments.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Valid Drivers License is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced airport operational environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle operational issues effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts according to flight schedules.
• Knowledge of aviation safety, security and operational procedures will be preferred.
• Arabic language knowledge will be an added advantage.
