Job summary

Golden Elite Catering Services - GECS is seeking an experienced airport operations supervisor to allocate resources, coordinate with the maintenance team, and lead a night-to-day shift of operational staff. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication to uphold safety and efficiency in fast-paced aviation environments.

The incumbent will conduct shift briefings, ensure proper handovers, manage daily reports, and drive KPI improvements while complying with SOPs and airline

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Airport Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in airport operations, airline operations, ground handling, or aviation support services.
• Previous experience in resource planning, staff allocation, and shift supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Allocate operational resources based on daily operational requirements and flight schedules.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Team to ensure equipment availability and safe deployment.
• Conduct operational briefings with team members before each shift.
• Ensure proper shift handover between teams.
• Perform admin and operational duties as assigned by the Duty Manager.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, airline procedures, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with Maintenance on downtime to minimize impact.
• Verify daily operational and safety inspections before deployment.
• Monitor equipment utilization and ensure timely aircraft service activities.
• Coordinate daily schedules for efficient ground support services.
• Monitor inventory of operational materials and consumables.
• Prepare daily operational reports and maintain records.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and support staff for safe, efficient service delivery.
• Aim to achieve KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.

• Ensure proper shift handover and takeover between operational teams.

• Ensure all operational activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure full compliance with airline operational procedures, airport regulations, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Team regarding planned and unplanned equipment downtime to minimize operational impact.
• Verify that all daily operational and safety inspections are completed before equipment deployment.
• Monitor daily equipment utilization and ensure all scheduled aircraft service activities are completed on time.
• Coordinate daily operational schedules to ensure efficient execution of aircraft ground support services.
• Monitor inventory levels of operational materials and consumables, ensuring adequate stock is maintained at all times.
• Prepare daily operational reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and support operational staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Airport Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in airport operations, airline operations, ground handling, or aviation support services.
  • Previous experience in resource planning, staff allocation, and shift supervision is preferred.
  • Experience working with specialized airport equipment or Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of aircraft ground servicing operations is preferred.
