Job summary

Soundlines Consultancy is seeking an Airport Operations Coordinator to oversee daily ground handling and flight turnaround activities at a busy Saudi airport. You will liaise with airlines, authorities and ground teams to keep operations smooth and compliant.

The role requires experience in airport operations, strong coordination, and the ability to work under pressure, including night shifts and holidays. GCC/KSA familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Diploma in Aviation, Airport Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
• Relevant experience in airport operations, ground handling, airline operations or aviation services.
• Experience in ramp handling, passenger handling, baggage operations, aircraft turnaround or airport coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate daily airport ground handling and operational activities.
• Coordinate with airline representatives, airport authorities, ground handling teams and other stakeholders to ensure smooth flight operations.
• Monitor aircraft arrival and departure activities and ensure timely turnaround of flights.
• Coordinate ramp, baggage, passenger and other ground support activities as required.
• Track flight schedules, operational changes, delays and other irregularities and communicate updates to relevant teams.
• Ensure all operational activities are carried out in accordance with company SOPs, airline requirements and airport regulations.
• Monitor manpower deployment and coordinate with operational teams to ensure adequate staffing for flight operations.
• Handle operational issues and elevate major delays, incidents or service disruptions to the concerned management.
• Maintain accurate operational records, reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with airport safety, security and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement of operational efficiency, service quality and turnaround performance.
• Perform shift-based duties, including weekends and public holidays, as required by airport operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate/Diploma in Aviation, Airport Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.


• Relevant experience in airport operations, ground handling, airline operations or aviation services.


• Experience in ramp handling, passenger handling, baggage operations, aircraft turnaround or airport coordination will be preferred.


• Good knowledge of airport and ground handling operations.


• Familiarity with airline, airport and ground handling procedures and safety requirements.


• Good coordination and communication skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.


• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time-sensitive operational situations.


• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.


• Good command of English communication, both written and verbal.


• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office and MS Excel.


• Willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.


• Candidates with experience in GCC/KSA airport operations will be an added advantage.


• Must be physically and professionally capable of working in a fast-paced airport operational environment.
