Detailed Job Description
As a VAS Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of Ericsson Intelligent Network (IN), Value Added Services (VAS), and Charging platforms within a large‑scale operator environment. You will be responsible for identifying service performance trends, conducting in‑depth KPI analysis, and supporting the optimization of mission‑critical telecom services. Working closely with engineering, operations, and design teams, you will assess technical architectures, investigate charging and signaling issues, and develop data‑driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the performance of Ericsson IN, VAS, and Charging platforms.
- Evaluate network and service KPIs to identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Generate detailed performance reports, dashboards, and trend analyses for stakeholders.
- Conduct configuration, CDR, and signaling analysis to troubleshoot service‑related issues.
- Support performance optimization initiatives across VAS and charging environments.
- Review and analyze High‑Level Designs (HLD) and Low‑Level Designs (LLD) to ensure performance best practices.
- Utilize ENIQ, UPM, and other performance management platforms to gather and analyze network data.
- Develop SQL queries and automation scripts to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations, planning, and engineering teams to resolve performance issues.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve service quality.
- Support the rollout and performance validation of new services and platform upgrades.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for customer experience and network efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience working with Ericsson IN, VAS, and Charging Systems.
- Strong expertise in VAS and charging performance analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with telecom KPI monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of HLD and LLD documentation and technical design assessment.
- Experience analyzing configurations, Call Detail Records (CDRs), and telecom signaling data.
- Hands‑on knowledge of ENIQ and UPM performance management tools.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with Python scripting for automation and analytics.
- Strong Linux and Shell scripting skills.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
