Job Purpose
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing goods/materials, while maintaining accurate stock records in line with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspection
- Receive incoming shipments and cross-check items against Purchase Orders (POs) and delivery notes.
- Inspect goods for quality, damages, or discrepancies before accepting into inventory.
- Issue receiving logs and report shortages/damages immediately.
- Storage & Material Handling
- Label, categorize, and store materials in designated bin locations following proper storage logic (e.g., FIFO).
- Ensure optimal space utilization and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Issuance & Dispatch
- Issue materials and products against approved requisition forms or work orders.
- Prepare, pack, and verify shipments against packing lists prior to dispatch.
- Update inventory transactions immediately in the ERP system.
- Inventory Control & Auditing
- Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Monitor reorder levels and alert procurement regarding low stock items.
- Record damaged or returned items and prepare scrap/return reports for management.
- Warehouse Safety & Security
- Enforce occupational health and safety standards to prevent workplace injuries and hazards.
- Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and secure warehouse premises.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in warehouse management operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and MS Excel.
- Personal Skills: High accuracy, strong organizational skills.
