Store Manager – Supermarket Operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is a Retail hiring opportunity for an experienced supermarket leader responsible for sales growth, profitability, stock control, customer satisfaction, team performance, and operational standards. Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a commercially focused Store Manager who can lead Carrefour supermarket operations, interpret performance data, control costs, strengthen merchandise availability, and maintain high standards of service, safety, hygiene, and asset management.

Salary: 18000-28000 (Estimated salary range based on similar jobs in the job city; please confirm the final offer with the employer).

Key Responsibilities

• Implement supermarket operating plans, policies, and commercial priorities in alignment with Majid Al Futtaim Retail strategy.
• Lead day-to-day store operations while maintaining strong control over sales, profitability, customer service, inventory, and operating costs.
• Analyze commercial performance using quantitative and qualitative data and recommend practical actions to improve turnover and margins.
• Review sales, stock, availability, and departmental performance reports and initiate corrective measures when required.
• Control expenses within approved budgets while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with department heads to maintain appropriate stock values, reduce out-of-stock situations, and ensure timely replenishment and merchandise delivery.
• Monitor product availability and inventory movement to balance customer demand with effective stock management.
• Compare departmental results and operating practices to identify opportunities for stronger productivity and commercial performance.
• Drive initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, service consistency, and the overall supermarket shopping experience.
• Maintain close coordination with Head Office and Corporate Office teams on commercial plans, operational standards, and business priorities.
• Oversee supermarket asset maintenance and ensure equipment, fixtures, facilities, and operational resources remain in suitable condition.
• Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, security, and workplace safety standards throughout the store.
• Support department managers with performance management, operational problem-solving, and execution of improvement plans.
• Build productive working relationships across store teams, support functions, suppliers, and senior management.
• Track store KPIs and ensure timely action is taken where sales, profitability, stock, customer service, or operational standards fall below target.

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate should hold a bachelor 's degree in Business Administration and bring at least 5 years of relevant experience as a Store Manager within the supermarket or hypermarket sector. Strong Retail experience is essential, together with practical knowledge of store operations, sales management, inventory control, commercial reporting, budgeting, merchandising, customer service, and team leadership. Candidates should be based in Riyadh or be prepared to relocate to Riyadh. The position requires a confident manager who can communicate effectively with employees at all levels, negotiate when necessary, and build strong working relationships across commercial and operational functions. A strong understanding of supermarket performance indicators, stock availability, cost control, departmental productivity, hygiene, safety, security, and customer satisfaction will be important for success in the role.
