Job summary

Atkins Realis Group in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Document Controller to act as the primary interface between the client and consultants. You will manage all project documentation, ensure accuracy and compliance, and control document numbering and revision metadata.

You will register and track documents, drawings, technical submissions, and correspondence in the DMS, coordinate with client departments for reviews, and monitor cycles to ensure timely responses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of work-related experience.
• Strong in building relationships within complex project structures.
• In-depth knowledge of document control systems and procedures (registration, monitoring, coordination, Reporting).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; IT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary document control interface between the client and consultant.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with project documentation requirements.
• Register, track and control documents, drawings, technical submissions and correspondence using the approved Document Management System Tool DMS.
• Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, metadata accuracy and adherence to project naming conventions.
• Receive and verify documentation submitted by consultants for compliance with standard project documentation.
• Distribute documents to relevant client departments for review and approval.
• Monitor review cycles, follow up on overdue responses and ensure timely return of comments to consultant.
• Provide training and ongoing support to clients on document control procedures and use of the Document Management System DMS.
• Perform other duties as requested from time to time; seize opportunities to sharpen skills and expand expertise.
