Job summary

BEC Arabia in Khobar seeks a Senior BIM Structural Engineer to lead the structural BIM modeling for mega Saudi projects, collaborating with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to ensure integrated, clash-free designs.

You will advance BIM standards, develop execution plans, perform clash detection with Navisworks, and mentor junior engineers, using Revit, Dynamo, and Rhino in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in BIM modeling and coordination.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Dynamo.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international standards such as ACI and Eurocode.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards for BIM management.
• Proven experience in clash detection, constructability reviews, and producing shop drawings.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Certification in Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit for Structural Design.
• Experience with parametric design tools like Rhino and Grasshopper.
• Knowledge of LEED or Mostadam green building standards.
• Prior experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 mega-projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into multidisciplinary BIM models.
• Develop and enforce BIM execution plans, standards, and workflows tailored to project-specific needs.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
• Generate detailed shop drawings, schedules, and material take-offs directly from BIM models.
• Ensure compliance with SBC and ISO 19650 for BIM management.
• Collaborate with project managers to align BIM deliverables with project timelines and milestones.
• Train and mentor junior BIM engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Implement parametric modeling and automation techniques using Dynamo to enhance productivity.
• Monitor and report on BIM-related progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
• Stay updated on emerging BIM technologies and best practices to maintain leadership in digital construction.
