Job summary

Astek Middle East is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our client in Al Qassim. You will build high-quality Android apps using Kotlin, Jetpack, and modern Android tooling.

The role requires strong hands-on development with 5+ years' experience, but 3+ years with demonstrated skills may be considered. Priority will be given to candidates based in Al Qassim, with a focus on scalable, reliable mobile software and collaboration across product, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack libraries and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with MVVM or Clean Architecture.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with DI frameworks (Hilt/Dagger).
• Kotlin Coroutines and Flow expertise.
• Knowledge of Room for local data storage.
• GIT and modern source-control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
• Build with Kotlin using modern Android development frameworks.
• Integrate apps with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, DevOps and other teams.
• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to build, test, and deployment automation.
