Job summary

Hungerstation in Riyadh seeks a Senior Android Engineer to lead mobile development efforts, delivering high-quality, scalable Android apps. You will work closely with product teams to translate requirements into robust software, write tests, and participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong design patterns and algorithms.
• Strong Android development expertise with a technology-agnostic mindset.
• Hands-on experience delivering testable code using modern mobile architectures.
• Deep understanding of Android lifecycle and Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with MAD practices and toolkits (ViewModel, LiveData, Retrofit, RxJava, Dagger).
• Cross-platform familiarity with iOS or Flutter is a plus.
• CI/CD and modular app architecture understanding.
• Ability to design scalable new modules and maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of latest mobile development methodologies to deliver best-in-class Android solutions.
• Analyze product requirements with the Product Team to estimate engineering effort and feasibility.
• Assist in building components and programming of solution modules to translate requirements into working software.
• Document coding steps to ensure future maintenance and comprehension.
• Responsible for unit, integration, and UI/Snapshot testing.
• Investigate and resolve issues and bugs through patches and fixes.
• Collaborate in code reviews and deliver review reports.
• Perform functional and module testing to ensure feature functionality.
• Monitor progress, evaluate product development, and suggest improvements.
• Support user trials and acceptance testing.
