Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, accuracy, and timely issuance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the regulated entity in accordance with IFRS and SAMA regulatory standards, in close coordination with Group Finance.
- Ensure entity-level financial records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready, supporting group consolidation and statutory reporting processes.
- Lead the preparation and submission of all SAMA regulatory returns related to payments and lending activities, ensuring full alignment with regulatory expectations, inspection requirements, and reporting timelines.
- Liaise with third parties including but not limited to SAMA, auditors, and regulators for the regulated entity, with appropriate escalation to Group Finance where required.
- Own the entity-level preparation of management accounts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reconciliation with group reporting standards.
- Support Group Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A, providing entity-level inputs, assumptions, variance analysis, and operational insights.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of a robust accounting framework for payments and lending portfolios, in line with IFRS, SAMA regulations, and group accounting policies.
- Oversee finance operations related to lending facilities, working capital, settlement flows, and safeguarding accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational accuracy.
- Ensure full compliance with ZATCA requirements, including VAT filings and reconciliations, withholding tax, and corporate tax (where applicable), in coordination with Group Tax and advisors.
- Coordinate with internal audit, risk, compliance, and external advisors, ensuring alignment with group governance frameworks.
- Drive continuous enhancement and effective use of the ERP and financial systems, ensuring alignment with group standards and regulatory needs.
- Continuously assess, strengthen, and maintain internal controls, finance policies, and risk management practices at the entity level.
- Lead and develop the regulated entity finance team, driving accountability, performance, and strong regulatory culture, while operating within the Group Finance functional framework.
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Professional qualification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent strongly preferred
Experience
- 10-15 years of progressive finance experience
- Strong hands-on experience in lending / financing businesses, including IFRS 9
- Experience within SAMA-regulated entities, Fintechs, banks, or finance companies strongly preferred
- Proven leadership of finance teams and complex finance operations
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)
- Deep IFRS and regulatory payments/finance/lending expertise
- Strong understanding of CMA regulatory requirements
- Strong understanding of lending economics, credit risk, and portfolio accounting
- High integrity and regulatory mindset
- Leadership, succession readiness, and decision-making capability
- Ability to operate under regulatory scrutiny and executive pressure
