Job summary

Different Technologies Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our ambitious startup team in Riyadh.

You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and modern mobile practices, and collaborate with backend and design teams to ship new features. The ideal candidate has 5 years of hands-on Android development, a deep understanding of Kotlin, and a passion for native app engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying Android applications.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and native Android development.
• Experience with MapLibre or related map SDKs is a plus.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and authentication (OAuth2).
• Solid grasp of Android design principles and testing practices (unit/UI tests).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and reliable Android applications.
• Collaborate with backend and design teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Conduct code reviews and optimize code for performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in existing code.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
• Collaborate with team members from various disciplines to deliver high-quality software solutions.
