You will lead test programs, review turbine charts, define test conditions, and ensure safe, compliant operation while coordinating with manufacturing and maintenance teams across Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in rotating-equipment engineering
• 8+ years in industrial steam-turbine repair/diagnostics/testing
• Hands-on experience with rotor assembly, bearing clearances, shaft alignment, steam-path inspection, and controlled run testing

Responsibilities

• Test Engineering: review turbine charts and repair scope, define test conditions and acceptance criteria
• Mechanical & Functional Testing: execute slow roll, run-test, overspeed, trip, governor, lubrication, vibration, temperature tests
• Performance Evaluation: assess speed, steam conditions, power, efficiency, heat rate, valve response, governor stability
• Diagnostics & RCA: analyze vibration, bearing temperature, steam-path loss, governor issues; propose corrective action
• Technical Documentation: prepare test procedures, instrument lists, reports and deviation records

Job description

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer (Steam TurbineSpecialist) to join our Mechanical Services Shops. Mechanical Services Shops isresponsible for providing rotating and static equipment repair and fabricationof components.

Your primary role is to plan, execute, and evaluatemechanical and performance testing of overhauled steam turbines. You willintegrate rotor assembly, steam-path, governor, lubrication, vibration,instrumentation, and test-system knowledge to demonstrate safe and compliantturbine operation.

• You will hold a Bachelor'sdegree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
• You will have at least 15years of rotating-equipment experience, including a minimum of 8 years inindustrial steam-turbine repair, assembly, diagnostics, or testing.
• Hands-on experience onturbine rotor assembly, bearing and seal clearances, shaft alignment,steam-path inspection, and controlled run testing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge ofvibration analysis, rotor behavior, RCA, lubrication, trip systems, mechanicaland electronic governors, and boiler/steam-system interaction is necessary.
• Experience with speed,vibration, temperature, pressure, flow, oil and gas instrumentation andmachinery-protection systems is required.
• API turbine training,Mobius vibration Category II or higher, and ICML MLA I or equivalentlubrication certification are preferred.

• Mechanical & FunctionalTesting: Execute slow roll, uncoupled run-test, overspeed, trip, governor, T&Tvalve, lubrication, vibration, temperature, and leakage tests as applicable.
• Performance Evaluation:Assess speed, steam conditions, power, efficiency, heat rate, valve response,and governor stability; correct and interpret data against specified testcodes.
• Diagnostics & RCA: Analyzevibration, thermal growth, instability, bearing temperature, steam-path loss,governor issues, and lubrication problems; suggest corrective action andretest.
• Technical Documentation:Prepare test procedures, calibrated-instrument lists, certified reports,deviation records, and technical recommendations for release to service.
