Job description

JASARA PMC is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our expert team.

Responsibilities
  • Support planning and scheduling of own work to meet required timelines and outputs.
  • Ensure risks are captured, raise them to the team, and offer mitigation solutions.
  • Assist with scope planning, specifying in‑scope requirements to facilitate creating the work breakdown structure.
  • Support production of the project schedule and maintain it as per Consultant Contractor schedule.
  • Support adherence to the schedule, schedule management plan, planning processes, and WOW.
  • Coordinate with the Commercial function to implement an effective controls system on budget, cost, report, risk, and change management.
  • Review prepared schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
  • Assist with resource planning to indicate levels of resources.
  • Identify potential and occurring problems affecting the work schedule at the site and recommend solutions.
  • Continually improve the quality of schedule presentation and documentation.
  • Clarify the needs of the team to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Produce project progress tracking and reporting; recommend improvements to maintain schedule quality.
  • Evaluate reports and assist with producing baseline target schedules for submission.
  • Update schedules weekly/monthly as design and construction work develops.
  • Respond accurately and in a timely manner to team queries regarding schedule submissions.
  • Integrate inter‑discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines.
  • Identify key interfaces.
  • Coordinate Project Controls Cost function to implement effective controls.
Qualifications
  • Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management, or a relevant field of study.
  • Primavera Certification (preferred) or other project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2).
  • 8–10 years of relevant planning experience within complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in enterprise‑level management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Preferred skills include Power BI.
