Detailed Job Description

As an ICT Engineer in Saudi Arabia (KSA), you will serve as a foundational technical lead responsible for the design, physical installation, and operational maintenance of enterprise ICT infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities will encompass managing structured cabling installations, configuring data networking hardware, executing rigorous troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues across active project sites. You will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deploy, and maintain robust structured cabling systems (fiber optic, copper, UTP/STP) across enterprise sites.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot data networking equipment, switches, routers, and patch panels.
• Oversee end‑to‑end ICT infrastructure deployments in alignment with international telecommunications standards.
• Perform rapid fault isolation, root‑cause analysis, and systematic troubleshooting for hardware and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with on‑site contractors, electricians, and project teams to ensure proper cable routing and rack installation.
• Conduct rigorous testing and certification of copper and fiber links using specialized optical testing equipment (OTDR/power meters).
• Maintain meticulous documentation of network diagrams, patch schedules, and cable labeling inventories.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all project sites.
• Provide technical support and escalation guidance for junior technicians and field support staff.
• Author comprehensive site inspection reports, snagging lists, and technical handover documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on professional experience in structured cabling, data networking, and ICT infrastructure.
• Strong practical knowledge of LAN/WAN architectures, switching, routing, and physical layer networking.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical problem‑solving, and technical execution capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder coordination.
• Mandatory residency requirement: Currently based in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Mandatory visa status: Must hold a valid transferable Iqama.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Professional industry certifications (e.g., BICSI RCDD, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or certified cabling installer credentials).
• Prior experience working with major MEP or infrastructure contractors in the GCC region.
• Familiarity with data centre white space cabling standards and containment systems.
• Experience with wireless access point deployment and IP telephony cabling infrastructure.
• Immediate availability for local mobilization in Saudi Arabia.
