Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Safety and Environmental Leader to advance safe working practices and ensure ISO 45001/14001 compliance across the local organization.

You will coach all levels, monitor risk, conduct audits, lead incident investigations, and support managers in implementing preventive actions and safety systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical preferred), 5+ years of experience, CSP desirable, and fluent English and Arabic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) and 5+ years in safety/ENV related roles.
• CSP certification is desirable but not required.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards.
• Experience with safety systems and risk assessment in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA legislation for manufacturing sites and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; fluent in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, execution and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental programs.
• Communicate safety initiatives and procedures across the organization to ensure common understanding.
• Coach and support staff at all levels to foster an exemplary safety culture.
• Monitor compliance, investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Assist management with risk assessments of workspaces, tools and processes.
• Roll out and maintain ISO 45001/14001 compliant systems.
• Provide guidance on competency-based training for HSE across the organization.
