Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Site HSE Manager for our HVDC project site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You will oversee health, safety and environmental compliance, coach the project team, and ensure safe delivery of mega-projects in alignment with client and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Site Manager and Regional HSE Manager APAC/MENA, you will develop HSE plans, conduct investigations, drive adherence to ISO 45001, and lead campaigns like toolbox talks to embed a strong safety culture onsite.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Minimum 5 years as Site Manager on construction sites in the Middle East, energy sector or similar.
Experience in a similar HSE role on large projects.
Fluent in Arabic and English (verbal and written).
ISO 45001 knowledge; Internal Auditor training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the Site HSE Plan and related safety documents (e.g., Emergency Response Plan, Construction Traffic Management Plan).
Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Coordinate with client, subcontractors and site managers on HSE matters and ensure compliance.
Deliver HSE campaigns, toolbox talks, briefings and drills to promote a strong safety culture.
Ensure leading/lagging indicators are collected and reported for KPI generation.
