Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Safety & Environment leader to advance safe working practices across the Eastern Province site. You will drive health, safety, and environmental programs, coach staff, and ensure compliance with local regulations and Hitachi Energy standards.

You will collaborate with management, supervisors, and contractors to manage risk, conduct audits, and roll out ISO45001 and ISO14001 aligned practices. English and Arabic proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety and environmental related positions.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic language is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate health and safety initiatives across the organization.
• Coach and support staff on health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Monitor compliance and handle nonconformances.
• Guide managers and employees on site to prevent accidents.
• Assist with risk assessments for workspaces, tasks, tools, and spaces.
• Roll out ISO45001/ISO14001 compliant safety management practices.
• Conduct safety and environmental audits and investigate incidents.
• Apply external standards within internal safety management systems.
• Provide competency-based safety training across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Embody Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values.
