Job summary

Abis Co in Saudi Arabia seeks a Safety Manager to develop, implement, and oversee the project's health, safety and environment management system, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulations and company HSE standards. You will lead Safety Supervisors and Officers, conduct risk assessments, investigations, audits, and training, reporting to project leadership.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in HSE on EPC/construction projects, a bachelor's in OH&S or related field, and

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in HSE management on EPC/construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in OH&S, Engineering or related field; NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
• Proven leadership and strong communication abilities in safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project HSE Management Plan.
• Supervise Safety Supervisors and Safety Officers.
• Conduct HSE risk assessments and ensure control measures.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with regulations, permits and procedures.
• Conduct site HSE audits, inspections and safety walkdowns.
• Coordinate HSE training, inductions and toolbox talks.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports to management.
• Liaise with client HSE reps and regulators.
• Manage emergency response planning and drills.
• Promote a strong safety culture and review high-risk method statements.
