Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a GIS I&C Engineer to install, commission, and maintain high-voltage GIS systems on projects worldwide.

You will work on live components with a focus on safety, accuracy, and quality, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors onsite. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years’ GIS experience, plus SF6 handling knowledge and proficiency in MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of GIS experience preferred.
• SF6 gas handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation and commissioning work independently.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with project team and subcontractors to plan and execute tasks at site.
• Inspect arriving materials and manage documentation for changes or non-conformances.
• Supervise loop checks and site meetings as required.
