Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Manager, Drive Unit to lead a team of up to six full-time engineers, driving KPI-based progress and mentoring talent in a fast-paced, hardware-focused environment. You will partner with core engineering leaders on workload prioritization, engineering decisions, and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 10+ years of automotive design experience.
• Experience solving product problems using 8D, DMAIC methodologies.
• Proven KPI setting and chartering from vision statements.
• Experience as resident hardware engineer in a plant environment.
• Technical depth in drive unit assemblies & interfaces.
• Proficiency in drive unit EOL tests & dynamometer specs.

Responsabilités

• Develop a team of product engineers to address product & multi-variable problems within Drive Unit System in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Empower the team to solve complex component/system level problems using DoE and data-driven methods.
• Enforce data-driven proactive problem solving, root cause analysis & issue avoidance.
• Establish technical depth in Electric Drive Unit hardware & its interface with other systems.
• Create an environment of trust & efficient work culture to deliver impactful results.
• Manage conflicts/escalation from several functions in the plant with competing priorities.
• Develop organizational processes to improve productivity and enable accountability across functions.
• Lead product change management for high-volume production with core hardware engineering teams.
