Job summary

Lucid Motors Middle East seeks a Manager, Drive Unit to lead a team of engineers in KAEC, setting KPIs aligned with the Resident Product Engineering group and mentoring staff through technical challenges.

You will drive technical depth in electric drive unit hardware, oversee design and testing, and foster data-driven problem solving to deliver scalable powertrain solutions for Lucid vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 10+ years of automotive experience.
• Master of Science with 8+ years of automotive experience.
• Experience solving product problems using 8D, 7 Step, RedX, DMAIC or similar methodologies.
• Experience setting clear KPIs and charter for the team from broader vision.
• Prior experience as resident hardware engineer in a plant environment.
• Technical depth in automotive drive unit assemblies & interfaces.
• Proficiency in Catia or 3DX, stack-up analysis (2D & 3D), and SQL.
• Able to coach & develop talent through technical & administrative challenges.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills using Atlassian products.

Responsibilities

• Develop a team of product engineers to address Drive Unit problems with cross-functional teams.
• Empower the team to solve complex component/system level problems using DoE.
• Enforce data-driven root cause analysis and issue avoidance.
• Establish technical depth in Electric Drive Unit hardware and interfaces.
• Create an environment of trust and efficient work culture delivering results.
• Manage conflicts and escalation across plant functions.
• Develop processes and tools to improve productivity and accountability.
• Enable product change management for high-volume production with cross-functional teams.
