The BIM Engineer will support digital delivery across complex design and construction programs by converting project requirements into coordinated, accurate, and information-rich building models. The role combines advanced 3D modeling with technical coordination, data management, and quality control to improve design clarity and reduce construction-stage conflicts. Working across architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines, the position will identify coordination issues before they reach site, helping project teams minimize rework, improve constructability, and maintain reliable design information throughout the project lifecycle. The role also strengthens BIM governance by applying consistent standards, naming conventions, information exchange requirements, and model review procedures. Accurate digital coordination will directly support design development, construction administration, handover readiness, and long-term project information quality.
Candidates should bring at least 10 years of professional experience in BIM engineering, architectural technology, digital design, construction modeling, or a closely related technical discipline. Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, ArchiCAD, or comparable BIM platforms is essential. Strong CAD capability is also required for producing and coordinating technical documentation. The successful applicant should have practical experience integrating MEP systems, carrying out clash detection, managing federated models, and resolving multidisciplinary coordination issues. A strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, design standards, and project delivery processes is important because model quality must support real construction requirements rather than visualization alone. Experience developing or working with BIM Execution Plans, information exchange standards, digital documentation procedures, and structured model data will be valuable. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical ability, disciplined document control, and careful attention to technical detail. The role requires someone capable of identifying coordination risks early and communicating practical solutions to multidisciplinary teams. Experience supporting projects through construction administration and handover stages is preferred. Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green building certification frameworks will be an additional advantage.
Riyadh continues to generate strong demand for experienced BIM and digital engineering professionals as large-scale construction and infrastructure programs adopt more integrated design and information management practices. This role provides exposure to technically complex projects where coordinated models directly influence constructability, quality, efficiency, and project risk. AECOM also offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary specialists across architecture, engineering, digital technology, project management, and construction. For a senior BIM professional, the environment can support progression toward BIM management, digital delivery leadership, information management, and broader digital engineering roles.
