The MEP Engineer will connect building design intent with the technical systems required for safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Working across HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing services, the role requires coordinated engineering decisions that account for architecture, structural constraints, construction methodology, energy performance, and regulatory requirements. A key objective is to identify system conflicts during design rather than allowing them to become costly site issues. BIM-based coordination, accurate technical drawings, disciplined design reviews, and close collaboration with other engineering disciplines will help improve constructability and reduce rework. The position extends beyond design production into procurement support, site inspection, contractor coordination, and technical problem-solving. This gives the engineer direct influence over system performance, installation quality, project cost, and successful delivery.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of professional experience in MEP engineering, building services design, or a closely related engineering discipline. Advanced capability in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit is required, supported by practical experience using BIM for multidisciplinary MEP coordination. Candidates should be comfortable developing and reviewing detailed technical drawings rather than relying solely on conceptual design information. Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing systems is essential. The role requires an engineer capable of understanding how individual building services interact and resolving conflicts without compromising performance or constructability. A comprehensive understanding of relevant building codes, engineering standards, and construction practices is expected. Previous experience delivering projects in Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Middle East will be advantageous, particularly where Saudi building regulations have been applied. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical judgment, technical problem-solving ability, and careful attention to engineering detail. Effective organization is important because the position may involve simultaneous design packages, coordination activities, and construction-stage priorities. Experience with MEP cost estimation, Bill of Quantities preparation, and project budgeting is preferred. Knowledge of energy modeling, sustainability analysis, and efficient building system design will provide additional value.
