Job summary

WSP in Jeddah is seeking an experienced Associate Director / Associate - Structural Engineering to lead the local structural design office and deliver major building projects.

The role combines technical excellence with commercial acumen, client engagement, and mentoring of engineers, applying BIM workflows and ensuring compliance with Saudi codes.

This is a senior leadership position requiring deep stakeholder management, proposal work, and the ability to grow the business across the Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• 18+ years of experience in structural engineering, including delivery of major building projects.
• Strong experience working directly with clients and managing stakeholder relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi, regional, and international design codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Support business development activities, including client meetings, networking, proposal preparation, presentations, and bid submissions.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and secure new project opportunities.
• Contribute to commercial discussions, fee proposals, scope definition, and contract negotiations.
• Lead the structural delivery of complex building projects, ensuring quality, technical excellence, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Provide practical technical guidance to project teams and support the resolution of engineering and project delivery challenges.
• Review and oversee structural calculations, reports, drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate structural engineering resources within the Jeddah office to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
• Promote innovation, digital delivery, and BIM workflows across structural engineering.
