Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Engineer in Building Structures in Saudi Arabia to lead complex building projects and drive technical excellence. You will set design direction, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide multidisciplinary teams including BIM specialists from concept to completion.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in structural engineering, strong leadership, and a proven ability to manage client relations and regulatory interfaces across international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with professional accreditation.
• 15+ years of structural engineering experience including leadership on large-scale building projects.
• Proven track record managing complex multidisciplinary projects with steel and concrete design.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE, KSA, and international design codes.
• Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership and oversight for complex building projects.
• Set design direction and ensure compliance with international and regional standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including BIM groups through project delivery.
• Review calculations, designs, and specifications for structural integrity.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, contractors, and regulators.
