A leading company in financial services is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor for their Riyadh location. This role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing a team of accountants. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-6 years of accounting experience with 2 years in a supervisory role, a strong background in financial reporting, and proficiency in both Arabic and English. Leadership and analytical skills are essential for this position.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations for LRC and Avala Riyadh. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulations, and effective internal controls. The Accounting Supervisor will manage a small team of accountants, prepare reconciliations and reports, and support both internal and external audits.
Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts such as accruals, advances, and intercompany transactions.
Verify supplier invoices, expense claims, and payment requests for accuracy, compliance, and proper approvals.
Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, and Cost Control to validate expenses, COGS, and revenues.
Manage fixed assets recording and depreciation schedules in line with company policies.
Oversee payroll accounting, staff advances, and related reconciliations with HR.
Review and approve journal entries, ensuring completeness and proper documentation.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial discipline.
Train and mentor junior accountants to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Internal: Accounting Team, Heads of Departments
External: Banks, Suppliers
Education: Bachelors degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: 46 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting required. Hospitality, F&B, or retail experience preferred.
Languages: Fluent in Arabic and English
