Cross Border Talents in Portugal is seeking a French-speaking support engineer to handle escalated tickets, analyze application errors, and verify data directly in MySQL. You will collaborate with the support team using Postman and Slack to identify root causes and suggest improvements.

The role offers remote work from Portugal (one on-site day per quarter) with paid training in English, health insurance from day one, and a path from fixed-term to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Fluent French (it's the whole point).
• English B2 (training is in English).
• Working knowledge of MySQL/SQL, Postman, Slack and MS Office.
• Strong troubleshooting and ticket-handling skills.
• Clear written and spoken communication, customer focus, willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Take over escalated tickets, chats and video calls that L2 couldn't close.
• Dig into application errors: reproduce, analyse, diagnose.
• Check customer data directly in the database (MySQL) to catch errors at the source.
• Work with Postman, Slack and the support team to get to the root cause.
• Propose improvements to management based on the incidents you see.
• Join the company's ongoing training and development programmes.
