Portugal Active is seeking a hands-on Operations Lead to oversee field activities across 5-star villa properties in Portugal. You will manage housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance teams, drive quality standards, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain exceptional guest experiences.

You will protect cost controls, implement SOPs, and ensure on-time check-ins while traveling regionally to supervise operations daily. A strong, autonomous, practical leader with Portuguese fluency is essential.

Qualificações

• 5+ years managing operations in hospitality, short-term rentals or hotels.
• Proven experience leading field teams: housekeeping, maintenance or similar.
• 100% Portuguese fluency (mandatory) + professional English.
• Strong budgets, cost control and supplier negotiation.
• Driving licence and willingness to move across the region daily.

• Own the operations calendar: check-ins, turnovers, interventions.
• Zero failed arrivals
• Control operational budgets: cost per property, per category, per clean
• Negotiate, manage and procure suppliers: comparative quotes, unit prices, SLAs
• Enforce quality standards and SOPs by property tier, with regular field inspections
• Resolve guest-facing damages and incidents fast, documented, within platform deadlines
• Manage stock, warehouse and consumables with full discipline
• Deliver daily operational KPIs and continuous improvement to leadership

About The Role

You take over our field operations end to end: housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and guest-facing quality.

This is an operator and builder role, not a supervisory one.

You sit between the properties and the standards, protect quality and help us organise, structure and grow.

The real value of this position: execution, cost control and consistency at 5-star level.

What you will do
