Portugal Active is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to drive end-to-end field operations across housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance, ensuring 5-star quality and guest satisfaction. You’ll sit between properties and standards, protecting quality while organizing, structuring, and growing the operations function.

This operator and builder role emphasizes execution, cost control, and consistency at a 5-star level.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of operations management in hospitality, short-term rentals or hotels.
• Experience leading field teams: housekeeping, maintenance or similar.
• Fluency in Portuguese (mandatory) and professional English.
• Strong budgets, cost control and supplier negotiations experience.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.

Responsabilidades

• Lead housekeeping, laundry and maintenance teams.
• Own the operations calendar: check-ins, turnovers and interventions.
• Zero failed arrivals and tight operational discipline.
• Control budgets: per property, category and clean costs.
• Negotiate, manage and procure suppliers with SLAs.
• Enforce SOPs by property tier; conduct field inspections.
• Resolve guest damages/incidents quickly; document within deadlines.
• Manage stock, warehouse and consumables; ensure traceability.
• Deliver daily KPIs and drive continuous improvement to leadership.

You take over our field operations end to end: housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and guest-facing quality.

This is an operator and builder role, not a supervisory one.

You sit between the properties and the standards, protect quality and help us organise, structure and grow.

What you will do

Lead and coordinate housekeeping, laundry and maintenance teams, internal and externalOwn the operations calendar: check-ins, turnovers, interventions.

• Zero failed arrivals
• Control operational budgets: cost per property, per category, per clean
• Negotiate, manage and procure suppliers: comparative quotes, unit prices, SLAs
• Enforce quality standards and SOPs by property tier, with regular field inspections
• Resolve guest-facing damages and incidents fast, documented, within platform deadlines
• Manage stock, warehouse and consumables with full discipline
