Cross Border Talents in Porto is seeking a Customer Specialist for a Banking Project to assist customers with German and English support across phone, email, chat and online channels. You’ll guide customers through banking services, verify information, resolve inquiries, and comply with security and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes accurate records, collaboration with other departments, and ongoing training in banking products and processes.

Qualifications

• Fluent German (C1/C2) and English (B2) language proficiency.
• EU citizenship or valid Portuguese residency card.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer support.
• Strong analytical, creative, and communication abilities.
• Professional, detail-oriented, proactive and eager to learn in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer support via phone, email, chat and other channels.
• Assist customers with inquiries about bank accounts, cards, transactions, and digital banking.
• Guide customers through banking procedures and explain services and account information.
• Adhere to internal policies, security protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Identify customer needs and offer appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
• Handle concerns and complaints, escalating complex cases when necessary.
• Support customers with online banking, account access and card usage issues.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and resolutions in internal systems.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve issues efficiently.
• Protect confidential information and follow data protection procedures.
• Maintain service quality, accuracy, productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing training on banking products and compliance.
