Sama in Lisbon is hiring a BDR to scale our English-language outbound Sales to HR and Learning & Development leaders in US, Canada, and UK. You’ll own the top of the funnel, qualify opportunities, and book high-quality meetings. We value curiosity, resilience, and coachability.

The role includes onboarding and training, with uncapped commission and room to grow as Sama builds the future of work. Base salary is €25,000-€35,000 with uncapped commission, reflecting your impact on growth.

• Continuously test and refine prospecting approaches to improve conversion rates.

What you'll be doing

We're in the process of scaling Sama and our success starts with creating meaningful conversations with prospective customers.

As an BDR, you'll be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities within HR/Talent/Learning & Development leaders in English speaking markets (US, Canada, UK). You'll own the top of the funnel, identifying target accounts, engaging decision-makers and booking high-quality meetings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leverage Sama’s AI tool to tailor outreach
• Building and executing outbound prospecting campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn
• Engaging prospective customers and uncovering business challenges and opportunities
• Maintaining accurate records and activity within the CRM
• Collaborating closely with team members to optimise outreach strategies and messaging
• Continuously testing and refining prospecting approaches to improve conversion rates
• Consistently achieving and exceeding activity and pipeline generation targets

What you'll need to succeed

• Be fluent and incredibly articulate in English, both verbal and written. This is a must
• Experience in a fast paced customer facing role, i.e. call centres, fundraising, recruitment or door-to-door sales is highly valued (preferred but not essential)
• Recent graduate with strong communication skills looking to start a career in sales
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed KPIs and activity targets
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
